A Wide Palate Cures Morning Fatigue
Expand the palate!
Tired of waking up exhausted? Believe me, I get it. I've been there. You feel like no matter how much you sleep, you're always drained. I tried everything in a pursuit to find what was going on with me: adrenal fatigue, heavy metal detoxing, parasites, fixing my circadian rhythm, deep-diving into the science of mitochondria. Nothing quite clicked until I discovered something pretty unexpected: expanding my maxilla for better breathing.
I know, sounds weird but just listen.
I started on this thing called a MARPE device that, over time, expands the roof of your mouth. Here's why that is a huge deal: the roof of your mouth is connected to the floor of your nasal cavity. By expanding the palate, you really open up the nasal passages, which helps with better breathing and oxygenation-so you just feel way more energized.
Before this, I'd wake up every day feeling like I'd just been totally wiped out. In about 1-3 months with the MARPE, however, I had a huge difference: I was able to breathe through my nose for the first time in many years, and I woke up actually feeling rested, not like I'd run a marathon.
Just for perspective, mine was about 29 millimeters to start, which is pretty small compared to our ancestors; their maxillas were about 40-50 millimeters. I've expanded it by about 7-8 mm so far, and that's made a massive difference in my energy levels. I'm not going any further because, honestly, there's only so much you want to change in your face, but even just that small change has been a game-changer.
I don't have the words to describe how much better I feel. I wake up with energy. I can finally breathe through my nose completely. And, sure, my smile's a little wider now, too-not that I'm complaining.
The bottom line? If you’re dealing with chronic fatigue, this could be something worth looking into. Oxygen is fuel for your body, and if you’re not getting enough, it’s no wonder you’re tired all the time. . Not to get into the science of it but our mitochondria need oxygen to produce ATP and ATP is energy. Without proper oxygenation energy is limited. Expanding my maxilla has helped me feel like I’m running at 100% again, and it could do the same for you.
If you find yourself caught in that exhaustion cycle this could be something worth considering.
Peace,
