Why I Don't See Psychedelics As Drugs
Say no to drugs
Drugs get a negative connotation in society at large. But the truth is that drugs are a spectrum.
Drugs like fentanyl, heroine, and meth should be avoided at all costs.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to group all drugs together in the same basket.
A few bad eggs shouldn’t spoil the bunch.
To be clear I am a huge advocate for the concept of sober living and I practice this. In todays world especially in developed countries many people get addicted to the feeling of numbing themselves with food, media, and drugs. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that this can’t possibly lead to anything good.
Numbing yourself is something you can get away with when you’re young. As you get older you can no longer get away with it without serious consequences. Improper use of weed, alcohol, food, and social media puts you in a trance. You lose your soul and your essence.
The reason I don’t see psychedelics as drugs is because they do the opposite of numbing. They make you more sensitive to the world and aware of what’s going on inside of you.
They make you more sober if used responsibly
Every time I mention psychedelics I have to mention to use them RESPONSIBLY.
Psychedelics have the potential to transform your life but they also have the potential to completely destroy and derail your life. I joke around a lot but this is to be taken seriously. With the psychedelic movement on the rise I don’t want to see people messing up their lives.
So, a few key reminders:
Never start with high doses.
Keep it low to moderate—you don’t need a “heroic” trip for profound insights.
Use them to deepen your already fulfilling life—not to escape an unfulfilling one.
Psychedelics reveal. They expose fears, break down dogmas, surface trauma, and amplify your deepest desires. If you’re ready to face all that with courage and intention, the potential for growth is infinite
That’s why I don’t see psychedelics as “drugs.” I see them as a supplement to the inner work, not a shortcut.
Peace,
