Why You Cannot Win Human Games
It's Impossible
Say No To Human Games
It’s important to understand that throughout life, certain “games” are put in front of your face.
Most people just blindly and unconsciously play them like hamsters on a wheel, without ever questioning them.
By “games,” I mean goals, objectives, belief systems, and ideas that your culture, parents, and society program you with.
You must question:
Who set the rules?
What happens if I “win”?
Who benefits from this?
Chances are, you’re not asking enough questions.
When Someone Else Sets The Rules
The problem with other people setting the rules and objectives for your life is straightforward.
People first and foremost care about their survival.
This means that they will use you as a battery for their own selfish needs and desires.
You become a slave for someone else’s survival needs.
This isn’t a bad thing; it’s just how it is with our current level of development.
This is why I stress sovereignty and independence.
Common Human Survival Games
What are some human survival games society and people play?
Religion (Lack Of Direct Experience)
Jobs
Gambling
Drugs and numbing
Get rich quick schemes
Cult-like movements
Ideology and dogma of all kinds
Fast food and hyper consumption
Wall Street as an ideal
School (without curiosity and questioning)
This is just a broad list, but it can be much more nuanced.
The trap that these games play is that they feel:
Safe
Respectable
Exciting
But they all fundamentally do the same thing.
They trade sovereignty and independence for certainty.
The Mind Craves Certainty
Your mind is a certainty-craving machine, which means if you’re not aware, you will outsource your authority and creative intelligence to other people.
Like I said, this poses a problem because people’s number one goal is their own survival, not your freedom.
In order to create your own games (which are infinite), you must become highly independent and sovereign.
To do so requires immense amounts of:
Emotional labor
Personal responsibility
Cognitive development
Spiritual maturity
Most people don’t even bother with this because they don’t see the value in it.
The Trojan Horse Predicament
Human survival games are similar to the story of the Trojan horse.
They may feel good
They may look good
They may even work for a while
But in the end, they will always fuck you over on the back end.
They suck your life force, integrity, and independence.
What Games Can You Win?
The only games you can win are infinite games.
Infinite games aren’t grounded in ego or survival.
There are no winners or losers.
And there is no endpoint to them.
Things such as:
Creativity
Intelligence
Skill-building
Innovation
Relationship with nature
Self-mastery
Conscious creation
These games grow deeper and deeper the more you play them.
Like a mycelial network stretching throughout the Earth, they never end.
Design your life in such a way so that you’re constantly playing infinite games.
Trust me, you don’t want to wake up in 40 years and realize that you’ve hit a dead end because you played the games your culture laid out for you like a good boy or girl.
Peace,
Koby
